Best Chews by Carbs
Energy chews ranked by carbs per serving - the dose that decides how much fuel each packet in your pocket is worth.
A chew serving is nutritionally a gel: the same carbohydrate, read off the same label. The difference is mechanical. A gel is a bolus that arrives all at once, while a chew serving is that dose cut into pieces you can spread over 20 minutes, halve, or stop mid-packet. Servings in our catalogue run from around 19 g to 44 g of carbohydrate.
Because the serving divides, the dose number matters differently than it does for a gel. A 44 g packet is not one intimidating hit, it is what you carry per pocket. The carb-type ceiling is unchanged: at or below 60 g/h single-source is fine, and above it you need a verified glucose-fructose product, which the chew shelf is thinner on than the gel shelf.
