Best Gels by Price
Gels ranked by price per sachet, cheapest first, because a marathon is six to ten of them and a training block is hundreds.
Price per gel is the number that compounds. Fueling a marathon at 60 g/h takes six to eight sachets, and a 16-week build with weekly long runs takes many times that. A 60-cent difference per gel is a small decision at the checkout and a large one across a season.
Cheapest is only the right answer if the product still does the job. Read the carbs column in the same row: a cheap 20 g gel you need two of is not cheaper than one 40 g gel at twice the price. The honest comparison is cost per gram of carbohydrate, and the gel your gut actually tolerates is worth paying for.

The top 10
Divide price by the carbs column to get cost per gram of carb - that is the comparison the sticker price hides.
